Research participation in public art

PART OF JOBURG

Research about the impact and the possibilities of public participation with regards to the realization of art in public space. With the aid of a tricycle we interviewed 500 people in Johannesburg’s bicycle-free inner city, about four different works of art in public space. The tricycle facilitates the art of surveying and serves as a means of transport at the same time. The outcomes of the surveys were shared with the public in two exhibitions in Johannesburg.
